Sikh Judge Calls for Right to Wear Kirpan

Britain’s first Asian judge has spoken out saying Sikhs should be allowed to wear their ceremonial daggers at all times.

There’s been a number of high profile cases where they have been banned – including a 14 year old boy in Barnet who wasn’t allowed to wear one in school.

Sir Mota Singh QC has now criticised schools - he received a knighthood in the 2010 New Year Honours list and says he’s worn his kirpan over 30 years
