Recession-busting film weekend

Harrow Council will be screening three box office smashes over the weekend of Friday 31st July - Sunday 2nd August. All films have a connection with the north-west London borough.

Film On The Hill weekend comprises the following screenings:

  • Slumdog Millionaire, featuring Harrow actor Dev Patel. Fri 31st July, 7:30pm, Harrow Arts Centre (visit www.harrowarts.com for details)
  • Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone, partially filmed in Harrow School. Lowlands Park open air cinema, Sat 1st Aug, 2pm (film begins at 3pm)
  • Bend It Like Beckham, featuring Harrow actors Ameet Chana and Archie Panjabi. Lowlands Park open air cinema, Sun 2nd Aug, 2pm (film begins at 3pm)

Screenings in Lowlands Park are free, but have limited seats so people are advised to come early to avoid disappointment.

Food and drink are available, and picnics are welcomed. Alcohol is not permitted at the event.
